Challenging Ourselves to Empower Women
My fantasy Lifestyle has been always linked to an outdoor lifestyle. I connect with myself when I push my “comfort levels" surrounded by mother nature. In the past few years I have seen many female organizations empowering women to leave their comfort zone to embrace new perspectives and physical challenges. All these new movements are about stretching boundaries, sharing experiences with “like minded women” and support worthy causes. A few years ago, I realised I had never been camping or hiking with my closest girlfriends, we will go for dinners, to the cinema, but never spending time together in Nature.I felt was time for a change!
My three years life experience in Singapore has giving me the opportunity to meet a group of incredible women like the adventurer philanthropist, Christine Amour-Levar, who has been a real inspiration. “I wanted to see how far I could push myself, the mental challenge of being freezing cold in a tent and having another 14 miles to hike next day. These wonderful group of women make me realise we can pursue our dreams, challenging ourselves everyday but turning them into a good cause too.
I won’t be remembered as a 21’st century female explorer, like two centuries ago, when female adventurers had to carve their way in a man’s world. But I felt it was time to do better and merge my two passions: adventure and advocacy for a social and environmental transformation and pave a new way for the next generation to come by inspiring and educating others.
My challenge is finding new goals for better causes!
